Work experience

Incentivated Ltd, London

4 years (Feb 2012 - Present)

Digital designer

Incentivated is a marketing agency that specialises in mobile platforms; they create websites and mobile apps as well as their own in-house products. My position as a Digital Designer involves working within a small design team to create exciting design solutions for a range of companies from small charities to large retail organisations.

In my time working at Incentivated, I have continuously taken on more responsibilities and roles for the company. Full design solutions have been produced, which have included branding, UX, wireframes, responsive and adaptive website mock-ups and designs for print. As well as being involved in all aspects of the design process, in the last year I have developed website coding skills to create professional products in HTML and CSS.

Whilst primarily developing my skills using design software to a professional standard, I have also been improving as a website developer to allow a better understanding of the technical aspect of website design and to ultimately improve my creative output. Incentivated has helped push my creative skill to the next level, working within the small team has further enhanced my organisational attributes and I have enjoyed working towards deadlines in an industry that is fast paced and exciting.

5 years (2009 - 2014)

Freelance digital designer

Working on a mixture of graphic design and website coding projects, I have created designs for small businesses, such as an independent online music magazine, a start-up board game company and a child psychologist’s website. The design and coding was also produced for a self-employed plumber’s website.

Even whilst working in full-time employment I have taken on design projects in my spare time, my dedication and passion for a career within digital design has pushed me to completing these projects. This has not only broadened my creative expertise but has also helped developed my organisational and time management skills.

Design tools

I have a wide knowledge of Adobe software with extensive experience using Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign to create professional designs to an industry standard. I have great Flash and Actionscript 3 knowledge and advanced video editing skills using Premier Pro, After Effects and Avid Xpress.

Website development skills

Since late 2012, I have been further developing my skills in both HTML and CSS to create professional website solutions and in the last 2 years have been assisting the front-end development team for my most recent employer. I am also competent at using SASS to allow for quicker, semantic coding.

I have vast experience in using Microsoft Office packages including Word, Excel and Outlook.
